The ideal candidate is highly organized, patient-focused, and comfortable traveling between multiple service locations while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism, and patient care.Position SummaryThe Mobile Phlebotomist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient collection of blood and other specimen samples for laboratory analysis. This position requires travel between assigned facilities and locations based on operational and patient needs.Candidates must be comfortable working a flexible schedule and traveling throughout the following areas:* Hanceville *Good Hope *Holly Pond *Baileyton *West Point *South Vinemont *Didge City *Garden City *Fairview *Berlin *Colony *Huntsville *Decatur *Birmingham *Hartselle *Jasper *Albertville *Arley *Oneonta *Arab *FalkvilleShift Schedule: Working hours may fall between 5:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with shifts typically scheduled for approximately 8 hours.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccurately and efficiently collect blood and other specimen samples based on facility and patient needs.Verify patient identity and personal information using appropriate identification and/or medical records.Ensure the quality and appropriate quantity of all collected specimens.Properly label, handle, prepare, and transport specimens for laboratory testing.Respond professionally to patient questions and provide appropriate information regarding collection procedures.Maintain a compassionate and professional approach when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds.Adhere to all applicable health, safety, infection-control, and laboratory standards while working at facilities and traveling between locations.Maintain reliability and effective time management while completing assigned mobile routes.Follow supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.Skills & AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong time-management and organizational skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracyExcellent interpersonal and patient-service skillsAbility to establish rapport with a diverse patient populationAbility to work independently and manage multiple locations and prioritiesDependable, professional, and adaptable to changing schedules and facility needsExperienceMinimum of 3 years of related phlebotomy experience preferredEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredCertifications & LicensesPhlebotomy Certification preferredA clean motor vehicle record is required for this position.BenefitsCompetitive benefits package including Medical with Gap Insurance, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life, AD&D Short and Long-Term Disability, Accident Insurance, Hospital Identity Plan, Critical Illness, robust PTO plan, 401K with match, Bonus is possible.
