Municipal, Education, & Infrastructure Superintendent

Position OverviewOur Municipal, Education, and Infrastructure Superintendent will work closely with all project team members and supervise all trade employees. Our Superintendents must be highly organized, communicate effectively, work well with a team, and be able to complete projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:Plan construction process by developing schedules, phasing and lookaheadsKeeping track of project progress and maintaining schedulePurchasing equipment and materialsKeep track of material stock and ordersEnsure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderlyOrder the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenanceCommunicating any field conflicts and notifying internal project teamKeep any and all documentation up to date for internal and external project membersCollaborate with the internal construction team, engineers, subcontractors, building management etc. to determine project needsSet performance goals and deadlinesMonitor and report on project progressAdhere to estimated costs and ensure the project is on budget (and is profitable)Supervise field staff and provide constructive feedbackCoordinate requests for appropriate manpowerPlan inspections with local jurisdictional authorityResolve on-site issues and emergenciesEnsure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards
Position RequirementsQualifications:Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar roleField experience, trade school, or college degree (Construction Management/Engineering preferred)Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sitesIn-depth understanding of construction operations and processesUnderstanding the importance of proper phase xzbcwsv codes and assigning timeFamiliarity with mobile softwareProficiency in MS OfficeOrganizational and time-management skillsAbility to lead and inspireOSHA 30
