<p> Job Description: Lead – Payroll (India) </p> <p> Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (On-site) </p> <p> Experience Level: 7-10 Years </p> <p> Reports To: AVP - Payroll </p> <p> Role Objective </p> <p> We are seeking a seasoned Lead - Payroll to lead our end-to-end payroll function. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, statutory compliance, and process efficiency for a large, multi-location workforce . </p> <p> Key Responsibiliti es: </p> <p>1. End-to-End Payroll Leadership Direct the monthly payroll cycle for a workforce of 1,000+ employees, ensuring 100% accuracy in salary registers, payments and deduction. Execute payroll using Darwinbox. Oversee high-volume bank disbursements and file uploads, ensuring zero-error payout execution. Lead the Full &amp; Final (F&amp; F) settlement process, including salary rejections and re-processing. </p><p>2. Statutory Compliance &amp; Taxat ion Ensure absolute adherence to all labor laws, including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and Gratuity. Manage TDS processing, investment proof verification, and the issuance of Form 16. Maintain "audit-ready" documentation and lead internal/external payroll audits. Oversee Statutory Compliance and ensure statutory payments align with salary registers. </p><p>3. Financial Integration &amp; Report Manage payroll accounting, including GL postings, accruals, and Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS). Partner with the Finance team to align payroll outputs with corporate accounting standards. Develop and present Payroll Analytics Dashboards, variance reports, and metrics to senior leadership. </p><p>4. Process Automa tion Drive digital transformation projects related to the pay roll. Optimize workflows to reduce manual intervention and improve turnaround time ( TAT). </p><p> Required Skills &amp; Qualific ations Education: Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com); PGDBA in Human Resources or an MBA is highly preferred. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Darwinbox is essential. Advanced Excel skills for MIS and analytics. Experience: Minimum 7 years in payroll Soft Skills: Strong "employee-first" mindset, stakeholder management etc. Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian Labor Laws, CTC structuring. </p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p>
