Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary
I'm the Chef Too is looking for a Food Production Supervisor & Quality Technician to lead a production shift and make sure every cooking and STEAM kit we ship is safe, complete, and built to spec. You'll work with a small team to run the line day to day: staffing, scheduling, output, and downtime. You'll also own the quality checks behind it: incoming material inspection, in-process checks, finished product audits, and accurate food-safety records that keep us ready for SQF audits.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit production targets without cutting quality corners, and who knows when to stop the line.
Production Supervision
Lead the production shift: assign associates to lines and stations, run pre-shift huddles, and make sure each line starts on time with the right materials. Meet daily production targets for packaging while holding quality and food-safety standards. Track output, downtime, and efficiency for each shift, and complete the end-of-shift (EOS) report. Identify the causes of downtime and bottlenecks and work with maintenance and equipment vendors to fix them. Assist with pulling and staging work orders and materials, and record production and consumption in [Katana / ERP system] so inventory stays accurate. Train, coach, and hold associates accountable for safety, GMPs, clean room procedures, and work instructions. Handle attendance, breaks, and shift coverage, and document performance issues for management. Keep the production floor clean and organized, and verify sanitation is completed before and after runs. Lead workplace safety on the shift, including PPE use and reporting incidents and near misses. Quality Assurance Inspect incoming ingredients, packaging, and components against specifications, and verify certificates of analysis (COAs) and lot information. Perform in-process checks on the production line, including weights, fill counts, seals, and labels. Audit finished product for completeness, correct SKU and lot/date codes before release. Place nonconforming product on hold, document issues, and assist with the root cause analysis and corrective actions. Monitor food-safety programs such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), allergen control, environmental monitoring, and sanitation verification. Keep accurate quality records, checklists, and logs in IQOps. Support lot traceability, mock recalls, and investigation of customer complaints as needed. Calibrate and maintain quality equipment such as scales and thermometers. Support SQF audits, internal audits, and regulatory inspections, including corrective actions as needed. Other
Perform other production and quality duties as assigned. Because this role covers both output and quality, the supervisor has the authority and the duty to stop the line or hold product whenever food safety or quality is at risk.

High school diploma or GED [2+ years] of experience in food or consumer-products manufacturing, including [1+ year] in a lead, supervisor, or quality role Working knowledge of GMPs, allergen control, and food-safety record-keeping Proven ability to lead a team, set priorities, and meet production targets Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping Comfortable using scales, measuring tools, and basic computer programs (spreadsheets, email) Able to follow and enforce written procedures, and clearly communicate issues to production and management Reliable, organized, and able to make decisions independently on the floor
